-2022年10月25日,本团队制作的英文海报/poster“Genomic basis underlying exceptionally high level of triterpenes in the Chinese loquat”获得第五届世界顶尖科学家论坛学术海报活动 三等奖 (奖金2000¥)。
-恭喜团队专职科研姬文娟老师获得2022年国家自然科学基金青年项目。
-Graduate students Jiaxuan Peng (彭佳璇) & Jielong Peng (彭杰龙) have done fatastic job in their thesis in The ZLab, we wish them good luck in their PhD studies! (June. 08, 2022)
-Congratulations to Jiaxuan Peng (彭佳璇) on winning the honor of outstanding graduate of Shanghai! (Apr. 25, 2022)
-Check out our recent collaborative work published in Plant, Cell & Environment (Dec. 6, 2021). Many thanks to Prof. Chu Huangwei (Institute of Crop Breeding and Cultivation, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences) and his team for giving us this precious opportunity to work together on a beautiful rice lesion mimic mutant (LMM) which presents constantly hypersensitive response-like cell death in a light dependent manner. This over-reacting innate response also armed the rice mutant with enhanced resistance to bacterial pathogens. Most interestingly, we demonstrate that the lmm mutation is caused by a eukaryotic well-conserved clathrin-mediated vesicle trafficking protein called SCYL1-LIKE2 (SCYL2). PhD student Zhu jiaojiao and Master student Zhou hong from our team also contributed to this work, by characterization of SCYL2 sub-localization in tobacco leaves. Congratulations to Prof. Chu and all the co-authors. For details of this work, see here.
-Check out our most recent review, published in Current Opinion in Green and Sustainable Chemistry. We summarized new and emerging concepts in the evolution and function of plant biosynthetic gene clusters (see here). It is a great collaboration with Prof. Anne Osbourn and Guy Polturak (John Innes Centre). (Nov. 2, 2021)
-Congratulations to Ning An (安宁), Jiaxuan Peng (彭佳璇) and Jiaojiao Zhu (朱姣姣) who won the second prize (2000 yuan 😊) in the first Poster contest of plant secondary metabolism, POMP (August 2021). Titled by “Polyploidy underlies co-option and diversification of biosynthetic triterpene Pathway in the apple tribe”, their work stood out from 37 poster works made by graduate students from 27 universities across China.
